FENDER 1984-87 VINTAGE MIJ Precision P-Bass E Serial Japan + Case 03503

Description

This is a vintage 1984-87 Fender Precision Bass, made in Japan in the Fujigen era. It's very clean for a 35-year-old bass, only minor marks. Frets are in excellent condition. Comes with two ashtray covers and a finger rest for a very old-school vibe. Candy apple red finish with all maple neck. Comes with period-correct molded hard case, in very good shape minus one latch.

It has an E + 6 digit serial number and says "Made in Japan" on the headstock and "FENDER" in all caps on the neck plate. All hardware is clean. You can see a couple pics I took with the bridge and pickup covers off. Plays and sounds great. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars, so it will be ready to go out of the box. Currently strung with some older flat wound strings. Weight is 8 pounds, 9 ounces. I have shown some of the more visible marks in pics but I can't show every tiny imperfection. Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
