Fender Roland G5 VG COSM Modeling Stratocaster MIM Black Strat Clean! +Bag 52407

Regular price $1,250
This is a 2011 Fender VG Stratocaster in black finish, made in Mexico. It's in very clean condition and comes with the original factory gig bag and factory paperwork including hangtag. These guitars of course have the rare Roland modeling on board. The T-knob provides 6 different tunings including: Normal, Open G, Drop D, Baritone, D Modal and 12 string. The M-knob controls 5 different modes which include Normal, Modeled Strat, Modeled Tele, Modeled humbucking pickup, and modeled acoustic sounds.

The guitar looks super clean. Couple mild marks on back (see pics). Frets are in great condition. Previous owner has lightly sanded the back of the neck, so it's no longer a thick gloss, instead has a smooth satin feel. It's ready to play and enjoy. After selling quite a few of these, I can say the VG's are a cut above most Mexican Strats, quality like USA made. You can pay a few bucks more for a USA-made VG, but you get a 2-point tremolo on those, as opposed to a standard 6-screw on this one. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. Weight is 8 pounds, 8 ounces. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing, as well as more manufacturer info.) Thanks!

Instantly retune to alternative tunings
The G-5's Tuning function lets you instantly retune to alternative tunings such as Drop D, Open G, D modal, and Baritone at the turn of a knob. You can switch to a variety of alternative tunings without touching the tuning pegs or switching to another guitar, keeping your string tensions unchanged. A 12-string guitar mode is also provided, which you can use with both acoustic and electric guitar sounds.

Sharpen your performance
The Roland G-5 VG Stratocaster modeling guitar puts performance perfection within reach. Now you don't have to stop the show to go into an alternate tuning. Any tuning you want is just a pinky-twist away. Want a 12-string for the chorus? You got it. How about that big-strum acoustic in the bridge? Done!

Unleash studio magic
Of course the Roland G-5 VG Stratocaster's sonic versatility will be just as valuable to you in the studio. Think of the look on the faces of your bandmates when you unexpectedly unleash full-on full-on gainiac mayhem in the solo section of the song for which you're laying down rhythm tracks. And they expected you to record the solo as an overdub!

Roland G-5 VG Stratocaster Features:

Guitar Setup
My setup on guitars includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. I spray out any pots that are noisy. I turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. I don't claim to be a trained luthier, but I'm able to set guitars/basses for a reasonable out-of-box experience and have had very few complaints. If you're looking for the perfect setup on a used guitar, please expect to take it to a trained luthier who is familiar with your individual playing style and preferences. ps: basses get the same setup minus the new strings. Thanks!

I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
