FENDER MIJ '67 Stratocaster Rare 1996 Natural STB-67 Japan Strat + OHSC 22417
Description
So here we have a 26-year-old vintage Fender '67 Stratocaster re-issue, made in Japan in 1996. It has a V + 6-digit serial, says "Made in Japan" (not crafted), and has the Fender 50th Anniversary emblem on back of headstock. Heel of neck says "OCT 1996" and included hangtag shows "Dec 16 1996."
The condition is near mint, we'll say 9.5/10--no scratches or dings. Only pickguard scuffs and a single scuff on rear so tiny no camera could capture it. The '67 model is fairly rare and was made at the height of Fender/Fujigen quality. It is all original--looking under the pickguard exposes all original components. And it comes with the original fitted hard case, tremolo bar, case key, allen wrench, and even hangtags.
The STB-67 is outfitted with a chunky C-shape 7.25" radius neck with 21 vintage spec frets and vintage style tremolo. It sports the large 70s headstock. Frets are in very good condition. It shows beautiful woodgrain all over body and neck. Currently set up with 10s. Very light at 7 pounds, 1 ounce. The guitar will come to you fully cleaned and with a fresh setup. Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
