FENDER 65 RE-ISSUE MUSTANG MIJ CIJ Crafted in Japan Black Relic Refin 36756

Regular price $599
Great guitar, ready to rock.

You're looking at a Japanese made Fender '65 Re-issue Mustang in black finish. Please note this has been refinished and I don't know what its original color was. Playing condition is good with only mild fretwear on the first three frets. Tremolo and all electronics are in working order. It's a good player that's ready to go. Rough paint refinish with lots of little marks and wear, kind of making it a relic look guitar. Please note, the serial number is V036756, and says "Crafted in Japan." A bit of a mystery because most serial number databases say the "Crafted" serials ended with letter "T" in 2007-08. Most likely a late 2000s guitar and just a funny serial. Comes with tremolo bar but no case. Weight is 8 pounds, 11 ounces. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) I may end auction early if it sells elsewhere. Thanks for looking!

Manufacturer Info
Pure '60s Mustang Style - A must-have for Mustang fans everywhere. The Classic Series ’65 Mustang authentically evokes the very first full model year of Fender’s most popular student-model guitar, which later went on to great pro-level success in the hands of artists such as David Byrne, John Frusciante, Kurt Cobain, Todd Rundgren and Adrian Belew,(even Jimi Hendrix!) to name only a few. It’s ideal for those who aspire to original-era Mustang sound and style, with a poplar body in great mid-’60s finishes, shorter scale length, dual pickups with versatile switching and much more. Features include on/off and phase in/out slider switches for each pickup, floating bridge with “Dynamic Vibrato” tailpiece with trem bar, 24” scale length, "C" profile Maple neck, and 7.25” radius Rosewood fingerboard with 22 vintage-style frets.

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
