FENDER KURT COBAIN MUSTANG MIJ Japan Competition Blue GT + Extras Clean! 58183

Regular price $1,799
This is a killer 2012-14 Kurt Cobain Mustang in Lake Placid Blue with compeition stripe, made in Japan. This was owned by a Kurt Cobain fan, who kept it closeted and rarely played it. Thus it's been played lightly. Included extras:

-- Black (non-Fender) hard case

-- Original Fender paperwork and tremolo bar

-- 2 Extra sets of strings

-- Promotional poster showing Kurt playing red version of this guitar

This limited edition guitar was only made for a couple years. This is really a nice package for the Nirvana/Cobain fan. The guitar is what I would call 9.5/10 condition. It's near MINT. It still has the plastic on the pickguard. I found a tiny mark on back (see pics) that's really hard to see and perhaps with magnifying glass inspection you could find something else, but no big marks or dings.

I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. Weight is 7 pounds, 8 ounces. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking.

Manufacturer Info
"Inspired by his arsenal of modded guitars, the new Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang takes you back there, with highly distinctive features including an angled single-coil Mustang neck pickup and ferocious Seymour Duncan JB humbucking bridge pickup mounted directly to the body, dual on-off/phase in-out switches for each pickup, a polyester-finished alder body and an Adjusto-Matic bridge with dynamic vibrato tailpiece.
"Other features include the classic 24-inch Mustang scale length, C-shaped maple neck with urethane finish, 7.25-inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 vintage-style frets and vintage-style ivory dot inlays, four-ply pickguard, master volume and tone controls, vintage-style tuners, and chrome hardware."

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Due to international shipping conditions, we are only shipping with FedEx or DHL. You must contact us for an exact quote. Also be aware quotes do not include Customs fees and Customs in your country may be SLOW due to the world crisis.

I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
