What You Get
-- Full setup, cleaning, and new strings.
-- FREE USA shipping.
-- 30-day return policy.
-- Ship within 1 business day--pro packing.
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.

Gibson Les Paul BFG Humbucker, Worn Ebony
The Gibson Les Paul BFG Humbucker in Worn Ebony has been reintroduced after 10 years and features some exciting new additions for 2018. Offering a stripped-back take on the Les Paul, the BFG gives you everything you need to access those famous Gibson tones and aesthetics at a price-point that won't break the bank. The BFG has an Ultra-Modern weight relieved chambered body which gives you enhanced resonance along with greatly improved comfort for longer gigs and practice sessions. A classic body wood combination of mahogany and maple delivers a hugely warm sound with great sustain, while the set-in mahogany neck helps to enhance the BFG's sustain and provides a stable platform for tuning stability. The BFG is loaded with dual humbuckers, each with their own volume and tone controls, so you'll have a wide range of tone sculpting potential to cover all sorts of musical genres. The worn ebony finish and satin neck gives a great 'played in' aesthetic along with a tactile feel, and when you're ready to get gigging, the included gig bag and accessories will help you get on the road. Other features include a comfortably-rounded neck profile, 22 low-profile cryogenically treated frets, torrified grenadillo fingerboard, and stable Tune-O-Matic bridge. The Gibson BFG gives you access to everything you know and love about the classic Les Paul, with a fantastically unique aesthetic for 2018.
Weight Relieved Mahogany Body
The Gibson BFG Humbucker is constructed with a mahogany body and a maple top. This is a classic combination that has been utilised for years due to its combination of mahogany's warmth, resonance, sustain, alongside maple's bright overtones. The body has undergone Gibson's Ultra-Modern Weight Relief to improve its resonance while reducing its weight. This is achieved by creating chambers inside the guitar, giving you a much more comfortable instrument to play over extended periods.
Mahogany Neck & Grenadillo Fingerboard
The BFG has a mahogany neck that is glued into the body for enhanced resonance and sustain. Mahogany also helps provide a stable platform to guarantee tuning stability over longer playing sessions. The neck is topped with a torrified grendillo fingerboard. Grenadillo is a straight-grained, dense wood from Cuba known as "the wood that sings". It has a similar look and sound to rosewood, with a slightly more orange hue and brighter tone. Torrification is a heat-treatment process which removes impurities and helps create a more stable wood for enhanced tuning stability and sustain.
"Worn" Finish & Stable Hardware
The BFG is coated in a stunning Worn Ebony finish. This gives it a real stand-out aesthetic with subtle signs of ageing for a more 'organic' look. The neck is finished in satin which provides a smooth and tactile playing surface, while the Tumbled Chrome hardware helps create a sleek aesthetic. It's not all style-over-substance though - the chrome hardware also delivers its primary function of giving reliable tuning stability, accurate setup adjustments and optimal string vibration transfer; this is achieved with a Tune-O-Matic Bridge, Stop Bar tailpiece and vintage-style tuners.
The BFG has a satin-finished neck for a smooth playing feel when traversing the fingerboard. The neck has a comfortable rounded-profile that sits confidently in the left hand, while the 24.75'' scale length and 12'' radius gives the classic 'Gibson' feel, enabling easy string bends and a low-action setup. The 22 frets are cryogenically treated and have a low profile for effortless slides up and down the neck. The classic Les Paul single cutaway enables easy access to the top frets, so you'll have no problems soloing at the "dusty end" of the guitar.
Dual Humbuckers for Powerful Tones
A dual humbucker arrangement gives you access to biting bridge-position sounds, along with mellow neck-position tones. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control, giving you full control over your sound. The 3-way pickup selector gives the option of using the pickups individually or combined, and means you'll be able to create almost any sound for any genre, including mellow clean sounds, biting blues tones, driven rock rhythms, saturated lead tones, and much more. This electronic arrangement has been used by Gibson and countless imitators for its incredible versatility and is partly the reason why the Les Paul has found its way into all genres of music.
