GIBSON 2018 No Weight Relief LES PAUL 60s TRIBUTE T Worn Goldtop Nice! 32808
This is a 2018 Gibson 60s Tribute Les Paul goldtop in nice condition. 2018 is the only year Gibson made Tributes with no weight relief. After having played and sold almost 100 of these, I can tell you the solid body produces superior tone compared to the weight relief models. In addition, the thin nitro finish on these lets the sound breathe. Even without weight relief, it’s a pretty comfortable Les Paul at 9 pounds, 2 ounces.
The Tribute guitars are constructed with a mahogany body with maple top, and mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard sporting the much loved 60s SlimTaper neck profile. Other features include, Gibson 490 humbuckers, large neck inlays, green tulip tuners, creme pickguard, and gold knobs--it looks awesome. Cosmetically, this one is really nice beyond some very minor marks (see pics). Frets are excellent. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. No case. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!
NOTE: Most people selling these don't even know what they have: they advertise them as a "Gibson Tribute" and don't specify if it's a 50s or 60s version! The 50s neck profile is fatter and chunkier compared to the "slim" profile on this 60s model. Make sure you ask before buying!
What You Get
-- Full setup, cleaning, and new strings.
-- FREE USA shipping.
-- 30-day return policy.
-- Ship within 1 business day--pro packing.
All setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.

The Tribute's satin-finished mahogany/maple body offers up plenty of warmth and sustain, and its SlimTaper mahogany neck honors a style beloved throughout the ages. And Keystone tuners and modern Gold Top Hat knobs offer the charms of a vintage instrument without the cost. Pair these with a set of vintage-style humbuckers, and you've got a guitar that's fine enough to be your daily driver, yet affordable enough to be your weekend warrior: the Gibson Les Paul Tribute.
Plek'd for precision playability
This Les Paul Tribute feels fast and precise, thanks in large part to Plek processing. Typically reserved for top-dollar custom guitars, this process levels the frets with pinpoint precision, providing you with the most playable fretboard you're likely to own. Each note rings loud and clear, and the fret edges feel smooth as silk.
Classic mahogany/maple body for signature Les Paul tone
Something magical happened when Gibson paired mahogany and maple for the Les Paul. The mahogany back offers warmth and sustain that is beautifully translated through the humbucking pickups. The maple top brings more than aesthetics to the table, bringing a brighter edge to complement the mahogany. Together these two tonewoods have given us the recipe for tone that helped define rock n' roll over the years.
SlimTaper mahogany neck plays fast and smooth
The neck on this Tribute Les Paul is a breath of fresh air. Its SlimTaper neck profile conforms naturally to the hand, for smooth leads up top and fast licks down low. If you're looking for the comfort of a '60s Gibson, Sweetwater recommends the Tribute.
Gibson 490R/498T pickups
The Les Paul Tribute features 490R (rhythm) and 498T (treble) pickups. These Modern Classic pickups feature tonal characteristics similar to the '57 Classic, but deliver a slight increase in the upper mids, for a more contemporary humbucking sound.
