Description
This is a very rare 1999 Gibson Les Paul Junior Lite double cutaway in Cinnamon red gloss finish. Comes with black hard case. Similar to the Les Paul Faded DC that came later but adds the gloss finish, 3-ply guard, and neck inlays. Features:

— Dual soapbar P100 pickups (p90 sound with less noise)

— Mahogany body and neck, rosewood board

— Tune-o-Matic bridge for perfect intonation

This model was made for only 3 years and is loosely based on a late-50s Jr. Great condition for an 24-year-old guitar. Frets are in excellent condition with no pitting or divots. Neck has the 60s SlimTaper profile. New set of knobs just installed. Cosmetically, there are lots of small playing marks and I’ve shown the largest in pics, but no huge dings or structural issues. Still looks great overall. Very cool mini-trapezoid neck inlays. All electronics are quiet and clean. Weight is nice and “lite” at 7 pounds, 2 ounces. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.

More Info
This guitar is based on the classic 1950's original Les Paul Junior design (which later transformed into the SG while the standard Les Paul settled on the better known single cutaway design). This "sort-of re-issue" has the look without the weight (thanks to a thinner body design and slab construction), and the sound without the noise (thanks to stacked coil P100 pickups instead of the classic P90 single coils).

I guess most people want a Les Paul to look like a Les Paul, because this model was only made for a couple of years, from '99 to '01.

I personally consider this to be the most appealing body style that Gibson has created. Changes from the original 50s LP juniors include two P100s instead of the original one P90, plus additional tone/vol controls and a selector switch. Also, the pick guard is a different style now, and the bridge is a tune-o-matic for better intonation.

The mini-trapezoid neck inlays also mark it apart from the original.
