GIBSON LES PAUL THE INTIMIDATOR DE2 Dale Earnhardt Custom Shop Guitar #41

Regular price $2,450

Killer limited run guitar.

Description

This is a great 2001 Gibson Dale Earnhardt DE-2 Custom Shop guitar in excellent cosmetic and playing condition with graphics designed by Sam Bass. This is #41 of 333 made. Lower numbers in production are worth more in general. So many neat things about this guitar. Large neck inlays saying "THE INTIMIDATOR." Amazing graphics showing D Earnhardt's #3 Monte Carlo and the man himself. Really cool checkered flag seatbelt strap with hood pin locks for strap buttons. Lug nuts for Volume/Tone knobs. A very nice Tour Grade hard/soft case that looks like it goes with the guitar cause of it's red racing stripe though it's not the original case. A couple small dings near the output jack (see pics), and minor checking appears around the edges, but overall a very clean guitar ready to strap on or go in a display case. Weight is 11 pounds, 1 ounce. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking.

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
