Description (more pics below)
You're looking at a 2000 Fender GC-1 Roland Ready Stratocaster in sunburst finish, made in Mexico. This is in working condition, HOWEVER, unlike most GC-1s it only outputs the Roland pickup sounds from the 13-pin jack. To hear the standard Strat pickups, you need to go out of the 1/4-inch jack. So you can blend the two but you’ll need two inputs on your amp or effect unit. This is slightly less convenient than how these usually work, as they usually allow you to blend the two sounds all from the 13-pin output using the mini-switch “blend” position.

This one small problem is why this is priced hundreds of dollars lower than I normall sell them. IF THIS PRESENTS A PROBLEM FOR YOU PLEASE DON’T BUY IT. This GC-1 will likely be a great deal for the right buyer—if perhaps you only want to use your Roland synth sounds and not blend in the standard Strat pickups, or if you don’t mind running the extra cable to your amp, recorder, etc.

Features:

-- Alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard.
-- Roland GK pickup w/ On/Off/Blend miniswitch (“blend” position obviously not working).
-- 9.5" radius, C-shape neck.
-- Some American parts, such as synchronized bridge.

24-year-vintage guitar is in good condition. Beyond an extra strap pin hole on the lower horn, it’s very clean looking. Due to the low price and output issue this will be an as-is sale with no returns. No case or tremolo bar.  I do a basic setup and expert packing: details below. Thanks for looking!

About Me
My store is a one-person small business that has been selling used guitars and basses for 15 years now. I take pride in doing a detailed cleaning and setup on every instrument I sell, so depending on my workload it may be 1-2 business days before your guitar ships. When it arrives you can depend on it being, clean, set up, and securely packed. Check my feedback for confirmation. Thanks!

Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.

Manufacturer Info
Equipped with a GK-2 Roland pickup, this unique model Strat is an awesome player that manages to do even more than the already versatile Stratocaster typically does. The electronics system allows the player complete control of their sound, fitted with dual outputs (1/4” and 13-pin) and the ability to play through them independently or simultaneously. The 5-way switch grants the player access to all the Stratocaster tones they know and love, while the Roland GK-2 enabled pickup affords endless midi possibilities.
