FENDER 2011 60s Road Worn STRATOCASTER Yellowed White Heavy Relic Strat 51102

For sale is a 2011 Fender 60s Road Worn Stratocaster in white that has had a very special relic job done on it. Comes with locking tuners and hard case. One look tells you this is miles beyond the recent Road Worn stuff Fender is producing. It's much closer to the Custom Shop looks. From 2008-2010 or so, the Road Worn stuff was much better--before they started watering it down, but this one is still beyond most early ones I've seen. 

There is some CHECKING on the paint (see pics). I've only seen a handful of RW's where they took the time to do that. Also, there is significant real yellowing to the plastics--not just a slapped on mint green pickguard. And overall, there is great attention to detail in the markings, the feathered sanding, extreme oxidation to screws and hardware. There is some very inventive dirty discoloration (see tummy cut). And the finish is very yellowed, not just painted with a yellow tint. Fender at some point said--wait, we can't spend this much time on these--and so now they don't. In short, get this guitar if you want a very affordable Custom Shop style medium/heavy relic. Or spend a few hundred less and get a new Road Worn that's a very light relic. Note, the back of the neck has a wear mark around the 5th fret or so. This may turn off some people who want a very smooth neck. Could probably be sanded out to some degree. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. This will come with an aftermarket hard case, Fender paperwork and tremolo bar. Weight is 7 pounds, 9 ounces.
