You're looking at a 2011 Fender Classic Series 60s Road Worn Stratocaster in white finish.This is a rather exceptional example of the Road Worn series, as you'll see it has more wear than most. The only Fender's with such a heavy relic are usually the Custom Shop models. May be because it's an early one, third year of production--or maybe the Fender employee was just on a tear that day!

This Strat is really for someone who wants a heavily reliced guitar. It has tons of wear marks all over, and it even has some areas of finish checking, which the newer Road Worns never have. In fact, the recent Road Worn guitars have become quite watered down and show very little wear and all look the same. The early years of these look much closer to Custom Shop quality--not just template-based relics stamped out like cookie cutter guitars.

All the hardware is dulled and has a light patina of scuffs and marks. The paint wear patterns are real-world realistic. Back of neck nicely worn down to wood for a faster satin feel. (Look at the pic of back of neck to see the bird's eye!) Note, this has rosewood fretboard--not Pau Ferro--like on newer models. Frets show some mild grooves but still plays well all over the neck. Weight is 7 pounds, 6 ounces. No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
All setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case.
