Description

This is a 2016 Fender American Professional Stratocaster in Antique Olive finish. The guitar is in excellent playing and cosmetic condition. These have a "deep C"-shape neck with just a bit more roundness on back. Sports a 9.5" modern radius on a beautiful satin maple neck and rosewood fretboard with 22 narrow tall frets. Tim Shaw V-Mod single coils and Shawbucker humbucker dish out some serious tone.

Cosmetically the guitar is in excellent condition with only one small mark above the pickguard (see pics). Weight is 7 pounds, 12 ounces. No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
All setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. Balanced, vintage-voiced electronics
A great set of vintage Strat single-coil pickups should have crystal clear sound, enhance your playing nuance, and be able to get gritty and aggressive when needed. Pickup guru Tim Shaw designed this duet of V-Mod single-coils to do just that. But unlike vintage pickups, the V-Mod single-coils are crafted with different alnico magnets in each pickup. A Shawbucker humbucker in the bridge provides plenty of muscle when you need it. And the onboard treble bleed circuit ensures your tone stays clear and present when lowering the guitar's volume.

Custom Shop-influenced neck
The Deep-C neck profile that you'll find on the Fender American Professional HSS Stratocaster solidbody electric guitar is a slight upgrade from the Fender American neck players have been in love with for years. By adding a touch more roundness to the back contour, the Deep-C carve fills your hand perfectly while never inhibiting your technique. And you fingers will immediately notice how much control they have on the fretboard's narrow-tall frets. For good reason, this fret wire is the most requested size at the Fender Custom Shop.

Fender American 2-point tremolo
A Fender Strat wouldn't be a Fender Strat without the non-locking tremolo design that turned the world on its ear in the early 1950s. The American Professional HSS Stratocaster boasts an updated take on that design that meets the needs of today's players. Its 2-point construction makes action adjustments a breeze, while providing plenty of stability. And the pop-in arm mechanism is extremely convenient, holds the tremolo arm from having too much play, and allows you to adjust the tension on the arm.
