FENDER 2010 3rd Year! ROAD WORN 50s TELECASTER Best Sunburst Relic Tele 65707

Regular price $1,350

This is a 2010 Fender Road Worn Telecaster in Sunburst finish in killer condition. This was made the third year of the Road Worn series. The Fender shop started to water down their relic work shortly after this. If you're looking at Road Worns stick with 2008-2010. That was when Fender was spending real time on these. Recent Road Worns and Vinteras--cookie cutter with very little actual wear.

Look at all the bumps, dings, edge wear, etc this baby has. All hardware has a dull glow and patina of wear. Fretboard has cool worn finish. Back of neck worn satin smooth. This is a real relic. If you like your guitars to feel and play like a well-worn old pair of blue jeans this might be right for you. As on many when finish is removed from neck you can slightly feel the skunk stripe up near the nut. Frets are good. Weight is 7 pounds, 15 ounces. No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks!

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!

I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.

Those who prize older instruments with the battered look of years on the road and the scars of countless gigs can still have that authentically aged vibe without spending decades on the road themselves. The irresistibly cool look of finish worn through to the wood, rusted hardware, a bruised neck and yellowing plastic parts are yours right away with Road Worn instruments. The Road Worn '50s Telecaster sounds, looks and feels like it's been there and back, has more than a few miles on it, and then some.

With authentic 1950s styling aged to impart a lifetime of wear and tear that has somehow made it get even better, it's a must-have for the guitar player who appreciates broken-in look and vibe. Available now in this Limited Edition Road Worn Purple Metallic Finish.
