Fender 2019 Mustang Bass PJ Short Scale Offset Series Sonic Blue Clean! 82138
Description (see more pics below)
This is a great little bass, the 2019 Fender Mustang PJ bass in discontinued Sonic Blue finish. Small light body won’t weigh you down. Easy to play 30.5" short scale neck with 9.5" radius. Powered by Fender's two most iconic bass pickups of all time--the Precision and Jazz--with the ability to use one or both at the same time. Makes for a super flexible tone palette.
PLEASE NOTE: I spent a couple hours rolling the fret ends and polishing them (see pics) so the neck is very comfortable when you slide your hand. This is important because Pau Ferro fretboards tend to end up with sharp fret ends. This bass has none of those problems!
Cosmetically, the bass is extremely clean. Two tiny marks (see pics). Also the pickguard is raised just a little around the pickups, but it’s very hard to see. Frets are in perfect condition. Weight is 8 pounds, 1 ounce. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. Details on my setups and packing, as well as full specs, at bottom of listing. Thanks for looking!
What You Get
-- Full setup, cleaning, and new strings.
-- FREE USA shipping.
-- 30-day return policy.
-- Ship within 1 business day--pro packing.
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "Still Kickin - How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
The Fender Player Series Mustang Bass PJ blends the timeless versatility of a PJ pickup configuration with the unmistakable tone of a short-scale bass. Its smaller Mustang-style body and short scale make this electric bass extremely comfortable, even for players with small hands. This bass's short scale also imbues every note you play with a fat, harmonic richness that's impossible to ignore. Combining traditional and modern styling, the Fender Player Series Mustang Bass PJ features vintage-style tuners, a 4-bolt neck plate, and 4-saddle bridge — all finished in classic chrome.
The Fender Mustang Bass PJ from the Offset Series adds a world of versatility to a classic "student model" short-scale design. With both Precision and Jazz bass pickups, each with its own volume control, the Mustang Bass PJ is capable of a huge range of classic Fender tones -- fat and beefy on the P-Bass pickup and biting and growling on the J-Bass pickup. The short-scale neck makes for a harmonically rich sound and is a breeze to play, perfect for players with smaller hands or seasoned guitar players looking to add a bass to their arsenal.
