Fender 50s Road Worn Telecaster 2008 1st Year! Relic Upgraded Pickup 97360

This is a 2008 Fender Road Worn Telecaster in Sunburst finish in killer condition. This was made the first year of the Road Worn series. The Fender shop started to water down their relic work shortly after this. First couple years Fender was still spending time on these and being innovative. If you look at recent Road Worns or even newer Vinteras, they are cookie cutter with very little actual wear.

Look at all the bumps, dings, edge wear, etc this baby has. Look at the rear edge on top! So awesome looking... All hardware has a dull glow and patina of wear. Fretboard is missing a bunch of finish: this is something they don’t take the time to do anymore (see pics). I think it gives the guitar a much more realistic vibe.

If you like your guitars to feel and play like a well-worn pair of blue jeans this might be right for you. This Tele has been upgraded with a Harmonic Design Super 90 bridge pickup—these are something like a cross between Tele and Les Paul tone, sounds huge. Very light weight at 7 pounds, 2 ounces!
