Fender Jimi Hendrix Monterey Artist Series 60s Stratocaster +Bag & Tags 43809
This is a 2017 Fender Jimi Hendrix Monterey Stratocaster. It captures the time of the Monterey Pop Festival in the 60s when Jimi burst on the scene by burning his handpainted guitar at the end of an unforgettable set. Fender commemorates the 50 year anniversary of that moment with this guitar. The graphics paint work is amazing on these. This is a made in Mexico guitar. Plays and sounds great with no issues.
If you buy this one you will receive it in the original Fender gig bag with original paperwork, including hangtag. Cosmetically it has only one mark on the edge (see pics) and is a pressure ding, meaning you can't feel it cause it's not deep. Please ask all questions before buying. This model is destined to become a collector's item, as it's value has skyrocketed in just a couple years since its release. These were only made for one year in small quantity. Weight is 7 pounds, 6 ounces. Frets are in excellent condition. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!ll guitars. What You Get
-- Full setup, cleaning, and new strings.
-- FREE USA shipping.
-- 30-day return policy.
-- Ship within 1 business day--pro packing.
All setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google "THERE IN ONE PIECE...How to Pack a Guitar" you will find it. Thanks.
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of this milestone in music history.
It’s been 50 years since Jimi Hendrix took the world by storm with his incredible Monterey Pop Festival performance, which he concluded with the sacrificial burning of his now-iconic hand-painted Stratocaster. Destroyed during the fiery culmination of his set, this one-of-a-kind guitar survived only in photos and film. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this milestone in music history, Fender created the limited-edition Jimi Hendrix Monterey Stratocaster.
A trio of single-coil Stratocaster pickups give this Strat its classic Fender sound—bell-like and articulate, it has plenty of singing sustain for soloing. The “C”-shaped maple neck bears a vintage-style 7.25 in.-radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage-sized frets for a playing feel just like the original. The six-screw synchronized tremolo is perfect for unleashing dive-bombs and other sonic expression. Other period-correct touches include the vintage-style tuning machines, strap buttons, trem arm and dual-wing string trees.
An homage to Hendrix’s spectacular Strat—right down to the hand-painted nail-polish artwork that burned its way into our memories—and as a special touch Fender added an exclusive etched Hendrix neck plate. Carrying on the same free-spirited, psychedelic vibe of the original, and indeed Hendrix himself, the Jimi Hendrix Monterey Stratocaster is sure to set your music ablaze. Includes gig bag.
