Description
This is a 2008 Fender Deluxe Active Precision Bass Special in ebony finish with Fender deluxe gigbag. Killer looking with some great features. All maple neck with a satin finish on the back. It has a Jazz bass profile neck and Precision body, with a gold vinyl pickguard. The electronics feature an Alnico P-bass pickup and a ceramic Noiseless Jazz PU.
Controls are Volume, Pan, and 3-band active EQ. Cosmetically, the bass is extremely clean with only one tiny mark. I'd call it a 9 or 9.5/10 condition. Frets are very clean. Weight is 9 pounds, 0 ounces. No case. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!

Guitar Setup
All our setups are done by our in-house trained luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well--with or without a hard case. This dynamic instrument is made from an alder body cut with the classic P Bass contours. The neck, however, is a maple Jazz Bass design, cut in the modern C-shape profile that has proven consistently to be the smoothest and fastest-playing neck shape on Fender basses. There are 20 stainless steel frets here, all cleanly accessible, even in the highest positions. The neck plays with a comfortable 9.5-inch radius.
