Beautiful satin finish sets this Paul apart from the pack.
This is a 2012 Gibson Les Paul Tribute in a knock-out satin honeyburst finish that really turns heads. When you strap on this 50s Tribute the first thing you notice is it won't break your back. At a comfortable 7 pounds, 8 ounces, the mahogany body still has all the sustain and tone of a Paul but with some weight relief to make gigging fun again. The next thing you notice is the warm tones flowing out of your amp with the 490R and 498T humbuckers on board, and the rounded 50s neck profile is a joy to play. What stands out on this guitar are the little touches--the green tulip Kluson tuners, large neck inlays, and the aged plastics and gold knobs all add up to an old-meets-new super looking axe. I just set this up with new strings and set intonation. It's ready to play and enjoy. Super clean guitar barely showing some edge wear (see pics), but that's to be expected with these quick-to-relic satin finishes. (Another plus, there's no thick coat of poly to stifle your tone!) The Les Paul Studio '50s Tribute 2016 T has a traditional Les Paul mahogany body with a grain textured, satin finish maple top, as well as a mahogany neck with a '50s profile and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
